Well, I’ve had a very successful recovery from my snip, snip…I also have a new “office” in which I can blog from. My daddies, did the porch up and as you can see, I can blog at my leisure, with a view. I love it. Today, besides blogging I took a run in the yard. I needed to get out and run some, it’s suppose to rain the next couple of days, so run baby run.

Here’s a preview to some upcoming entries. As I’ve mentioned I’ve been a bit busy - out and about town. I’m going to share with you some of my favorite Twin Cities places to visit - once the weather is nice again.

Snip. Snip. April 10, 2008

Tonight I am blogging from the Animal Hospital. I went in this morning for a little snip-snip. Can’t have little-Uli’s running around. Don’t know if I could take care of them. I think that would mean I have to share my toys. With all of the dogs out there without homes, i thought it would be the most responsible thing to do - plus, I really can’t see sharing my toys. I love em so. And i love sitting in MY green chair. There would not be room for me and my pups.

My daddy called to check up on me - and the nurse said I was doing well. I am, but I’d rather by in my own bed. Well, at least I know I have a great home to go to. I bet, my daddies will get me a treat when I come home. I think I have them wrapped around my little paw. They’re worth it. They love me lots. It’s great, can’t wait to be at home tomorrow.

romp in the mud March 21, 2008

Yesterday dad came home and we went out back. It was the first time I had seen the yard without much white fluffy stuff - I think I heard him call it “snow.” Well, it was a little muddy - just the way I like it. They have a lot of tall plants and things back in my yard. As I was finishing my business, I sniffed something sweet. It was a big furry rabbit. Now it was almost twice my size - good winter, I guess! - but I thought I could get him. I chased him in and out of the mud. And through the plantings. Didn’t get him, but I surely let him know that this is my yard. I hope he comes to visit again after the “snow” goes away again. Although it’s pretty. It’s also pretty cold on my paws. Plus, I’m a bit low to the ground, so unless they shovel me a path - I’m not going to get very far.

Oh, daddy’s out there with his shovel. How’s that for gratification. Now if I can just imagine me playing with the rabbit.

Gotta go, daddy’s coming in.

Hello, I’m Uli March 18, 2008

I wanted to create this blog to capture the life and times of a very happy dog. This is my way to let my friends in the rescue shelters - human and furry ones! - to know what a delicious little life a doggie like me could have. To give you a little background, my new humans adopted me just last week. I escaped a chicken cage out in the cold Ohio winters with no food and a frozen water bowl. Thanks for nothing there. But, I have nothing to complain about any more. This picture is the one where my two daddies came to the adoption event sponsored by Small Dog Rescue of Minneapolis. It was a great day. There were about 1o other dogs looking for more permanent homes. I was one of the lucky ones. These two daddies spent about an hour with me, I was able to get to know them and knew it would be a good choice to show my love and affection to them, because they had lots to offer this little dog from Ohio.

Now I live in South Minneapolis. I get to sleep in a warm bed, rule the a quaint little house with a spectacular yard. I can’t wait to write about my spring time romps soon.

This is my story. Of success. And rescue.
