Since moving to South Minneapolis, I have been on a couple shopping trips. I’ve picked up a couple new toys. I love the plushy ones that squeak. I try and find the squeak device inside and make it sing. I can tell that my daddies appreciate my musical abilities. Each day, as I sit on the coach and what for Eric to come home at lunch I contemplate – which toy am I going to greet him with? I have a couple of choices, thanks to their friends. On Friday I received a soccer ball and a lady bug (although my daddie Jeff insists on calling it a bee, I don’t get it!) Here it is, what do you think?

This is the other toy – probably my favorite. I picked it out at the Chuck and Don’s on the adoption event. My dads surprised me with it when they brought me home. Thanks to them, I have a lot of100_0235.jpg things to keep me busy.

Which do you like best?

And, are there other toys I should convince my dads to get. I overheard them talking – and we get to go to Chuck & Don’s again this weekend! Yeah for me.

I wanted to create this blog to capture the life and times of a very happy dog. This is my way to let my friends in the rescue shelters – human and furry ones! – to know what a delicious little life a doggie like me could have. To give you a little background, my new humans adopted me just last week. I escaped a chicken cage out in the cold Ohio winters with no food and a frozen water bowl. Thanks for nothing there. But, I have nothing to complain about any more. This picture is the one where my two daddies came to the adoption event sponsored by Small Dog Rescue of Minneapolis. It was a great day. There were about 1o other dogs looking for more permanent homes. I was one of the lucky ones. These two daddies spent about an hour with me, I was able to get to know them and knew it would be a good choice to show my love and affection to them, because they had lots to offer this little dog from Ohio.

Now I live in South Minneapolis. I get to sleep in a warm bed, rule the a quaint little house with a spectacular yard. I can’t wait to write about my spring time romps soon.

This is my story. Of success. And rescue.

I hope that you will check in often, share your stories – human or dog – and continue to spread the joy of adoption and dog rescue. Cheers!
